Very satisfied with this netbook,small and easy to carry around,has everything you need,except,cd/dvd drive,but who cares,that's why I purchased this for it's size,I have a full size laptop for that purpose,too many people are complaining about keyboard size etc, get the idea,it is what it is and it does that great,especially what it's made for,ultraportability,buy one and don't listen to anyone else,as someone always has something to complain about.br /internet/photos/video/word-works great,starts up fast and easy to preview pics to my clients 0n a snap,go buy one,for this price you can't go wrong

Acer Aspire One 8.9-inch Mini Laptop (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB Solid State Drive, Linpus Linux Lite) Whitebr /br /I bought one of these for my wife for Christmas. It is white to match the appliances in our kitchen where she uses it for email and browsing for recipes. It boots fast, has an excellent display and is easy to use.br /br /My only complaint is the touch pad and clickers - I hate them (my wife doesn't know the difference). I plan to use it too, when we travel. The touch pad clickers problem was easily overcome with a small mini-mouse.
Fun, Quick, Portable, Small but Not Perfect! January 2, 2009
We bought this one with XP, 1GB ram, 120GB hard drive.br /br /It boots up quickly, and is fun to navigate around. We bought it for our kids but have ended up using it ourselves quite a bit. We do a lot of Skype (Video Conferencing) without issues!br /br / You cannot expect full Laptop/desktop functionality from this mini computer. But for the little bit you loose on performance you gain more in many other things like weight, portability, built in camera.br /br / I did have this one crash the first week; but it was Internet explorer that caused the whole thing.br /br /The best thing it's the card readers on both sides for different types of memory card.br /br / The wireless it's somewhat spotty, mainly when doing internal network operations like copying files to a shared folder on a network computer.br /br / Overall a great purchase if you can get it less than $350
Will not hurt your back on the "T" December 29, 2008
I bought this for two reasons, one my Dell Precision laptop weighs 8 or 9 pounds and standing on the "T" it kills my back, this little savior is nearly weightless and can fit in a very small bag. br /br /Second reason was the price, I would rather break, lose or have stolen this cheap PC in the city than my expensive dell. br /br /I highly recommend this if you are buying it to surf the internet and write simple documents. br /br /The keyboard is a bit small but that is the point right? br /br /Don't expect this to perform like a $1000+ computer it is something you use on the go but you will need something more powerful and functional for your bigger chores.
