This is the right cartridge for my HP C309. The photo black is half the size of the black.

I find it very strange that this HP-564XL black inkjet printer cartridge is going for $30.93 on Amazon. I was at Best Buy only a few hours ago earlier tonight, and this very item is selling for $17.99 there, and it's not even on sale at that store. None of the items at Best Buy were marked for sale or on sale this week or in any other way discounted. All of the 564XL cartridges are going for $17.99 at Best Buy. I repeat, none of them were on sale. The cardboard retail packaging is exactly the same as pictured here. (These prices at Best Buy don't include the sales tax yet.) I thought Amazon was supposed to be cheaper, not more expensive. Am I missing something here?
My experience with 564XL Black has been fine so far, no issues at all, my five stars are for the quality of this cartridge and have nothing to do with Amazon or Amazon's pricing of this cartridge.

Works well for my printer. I originally brought the 564xl photo black which did not work out. Anyone who has the PhotoSmart needs the black ink. Don't make the mistake that I did.
HP Ink That is Trouble and Odor Free May 7, 2010

This is one of four inks used in making color copies and color photographs. In combination with the other three it does a very good job.
As I've mentioned in other reviews on HP ink, the ink has been reliable and odor free. It's easy to get spoiled and wonder if costs can't be cut by buying refills or cheaper brands; I've tried that and have now gone back to HP ink and have no regrets.
Printer and ink form a partnership which can produce excellent long term results if given the opportunity. I believe that HP has developed equipment and products which enjoy a successful partnership and I don't begrudge HP making a profit on their work; I want them to stay in business!
For the record, I'm not an HP employee, nor affiliated with HP in any way beyond being a satisfied customer!
