Order the fan to add to my Cooler master HAF 922 case ( bottom fan ). WIth no reviews i didnt knwoi what to think about the fan, But like all the other Cooler master Iteams i Have got in the past I was sure it work Fine. Well It does better than fine. Its Silent, and run great. I would say anyone who needs just alittle more air and doesnt want to much sound well here is your fix.
Awesome June 18, 2010 Matthew Snyder Moves lots of air, very quiet. Worked perfectly for my custom desk modification to get air flowing out of the tower cabinet. Would definitely buy another!
Efficient Product August 27, 2010 Steven Swallow (Fort Wayne, Indiana United States) This fan is extremely quiet operating at full speed and moves a considerable amount of air. Great product!
fine matching fan for CoolerMaster case July 18, 2010 Gopher Baroque (Carnation, WA USA) I choose this 140mm fan since it is the model included as the top exhaust in my fancy CoolerMaster tower case and I wanted a matching fan. It fit right in place adjacent to the original and the wiring connected (to a NZXT fan controller) easily. My only complaint is with Coolermaster for not offering this with switchable LED, like they use for the front fan in the case. But this fan has been working great. I can feel air coming out of the case and its quiet. Actually, the combination of five fans in this case is so quiet that it really puts my (slightly older design) Media PC to shame.
Was as discribed with more. August 27, 2010 HOME SLICE Well it is a fan and moved air. I did run into some things I did not expect. 1st if you use the 3 pin motherboard connecter dont expect this fan to move air, I had a 450rpm on my board but the 3pin to 4 pin cable that was included saved me and I was able to have the fan run at 1000rpm as described. 2nd, It is very quiet and cannot hear it over my other fans, which is nice. It had nice packaging and arrived quickly, however the box looked like it was kiked around on the floor in a warehouse, I wasnt to happy bout that. Overall It does what it says. I put this in the bottom of my case and drilled 121 small holes for air to go through, Yes I drilled the space for this to fit and it worked.(My case does not have anything over 80mm fans and I wanted something quiet and moved air and bigger) However my info to people who are going to put this custom into their pc and drill, you need to make sure the holes are large or air will not move.(OVER 3/16 inches drill bit/ this is also the size for the holes and screws) I have yet to drill the holes larger but, I can wait till my next part is in to do that all at once. Overall its good, nothing exceptional, and I was surprised that the 3 to 4 pin molex was in there that was nice and it saved me trouble of ordering another part.
UPDATE: I got the holes drilled bigger and they need to be big enough to put a pen throug with a little space extra, my PC now runs 10F cooler on everything, my HDD are 85F instead of 98F, MB is in the 60's not 80's, my power suply does not whine anymore(also quieter now)my graphix card has air running right into its fan from the bottom where the fan(140mm) is installed and it too is at 109 not 115 in idle usage. I am now very pleased as my case is quieter and my componets all over run cooler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Farenheit measurment not Celcius)
